ABSTRACT Nasir Khusraw Qubadiani—a prominent philosopher, sage, and Ismaili stands among the pioneers in bridging reason and revelation within Persian prose; by leveraging linguistic potential, he has articulated his complex ontological and hermeneutic systems into coherent, reasoned texts. The present study analyzes al-Hikmatayn by examining Nasir Khusraw’s intellectual system and the linear progression of his thought, aiming to elucidate the connection between his linguistic structures and his philosophical worldview. The fundamental question is how the intellectual system of Nasir Khusraw—as an Ismaili and philosopher—manifests across various linguistic strata (phonological, lexical, syntactic, and rhetorical) to shape a distinctive intellectual style. Employing a descriptive-analytical method based on the analysis of textual data, this study demonstrates that Nasir Khusraw’s style possesses not merely aesthetic value but serves as a systematic instrument for articulating a form of hermeneutic rationalism. The findings indicate that in Jami‘ al-Hikmatayn, the predominance of an argumentative syntactic layer and philosophical vocabulary reflects the logical structure governing Ismaili cosmology. Ultimately, Nasir Khusraw’s intellectual style emerges from the interplay between demonstrative reason and hermeneutic faith—a relationship represented in this work through a complementary linguistic structure. Jamial Hikmatayn is characterized by a philosophical-disputational style, replete with technical terminology and rational arguments.
